A 14-year-old boy was in a coma early Wednesday after being brutally attacked in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood while walking home from his girlfriend's house.
Brian DeLeon, a freshman at Phoenix Marine Academy, had been studying with his girlfriend Tuesday night and was walking in the 2900 block of West Bloomingdale Avenue when he was hit in the head with a "bat or a sledgehammer," police told the Chicago Sun-Times.
Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
And if I die before I wake. I pray the Lord my soul to take.
That's my opening to every letter I've ever written or spoken to GOD. Since I was a little kid, that's my opening. I feel the Almighty gets my attention when I start off like a 4 year old.
Chicago - Chicago Police say it was a wild night at the Wild Hare bar and nearby in Wrigleyville, culminating in the shooting of three people.
Around 11:35 p.m., police were called to the 3500 block of N. Clark Street after a man was attacked inside the club. The issues began when a performer was booed from the stage. As he was leaving the bar with his wife, he was assaulted by a man.
Witnesses told police the performer’s hand was stabbed when he tried to shield his face from the attacker. He was also struck over the head with a chair. Despite his injuries, the victim refused to cooperate with police.
